dancing man
Submitted by sarah on Tue, 04/04/2006 - 2:41pmLiam is the new Dancing Queen or should i say Man. He is very good at following moves from the kids dancing on the dvd-does abit of heel pokering to the country dance!
I have also noticed that he notices little things that u wouldn't expect him to-like he'll see a star in a picture that it will take u ages to find or a road way sogn driving past. He also relates that Yellow Pages logo to Auckland as Reuben said it was the Auckland Yellow Pages so everytime he sees that logo-if even for a split second he says'Auckland' !

preying mantis
Submitted by sarah on Mon, 03/04/2006 - 10:22pmLiam made a little friend today with a preying mantis. He picked it up and carried it around and put in on the lounge and was saying 'c'mon c'mon ' telling it to move, rather cute.
He also grabbed me by the sleeve and was pointing to the trains dvd's murmuring about them-i gave him one of them and he kept giving it to me saying 'trains'-i think maybe he was trying to tell me something.

wooosh and awayyyy!
Submitted by sarah on Sat, 01/04/2006 - 10:00pmWe took Julian to the pools out Helensville way-i can never remember the name!
They were thermal pool and had outdoor water slides too. Liam and Reuben actually went on the 'big' slide-yes the big one..and i only went on the slightly smaller one-there wasn't that much difference actually as they were both about the same height.

What happens when you growl at a 2 year old?
Submitted by reuben on Thu, 02/03/2006 - 10:14pmThis will go down in history as one of the most unexpected and humbling experiences we've had with Liam to date.
One of his little 'traits' at the moment is that he lets out these short loud screams (sometimes several at a time) when he doesn't get his way. They are more or less a vocal temper tantrum. I have tried for the last few weeks to just ignore them but it had made no difference - if anything, he's getting worse. So tonight when he let out this angry little scream I immediately smacked the back of his legs. It would have hurt a little as it was on his skin and he had no pants on (but he did have a nappy on).

glow worms
Submitted by sarah on Thu, 16/02/2006 - 8:26pmWe just got back from our train trip into the Waitakere's. It was a lovley evening. We started at the depot and went through numerous tunnels in our small diesel tram. They were quite snug as we each had our own little compartments-so the three of us fit well into it. There was a dam along the way that we stopped at and a picnic area nearby where we had dinner. Liam was abit grumpy as he'd had little sleep all day, but he ate dinner and patted our guides dog at the site. On the way back we saw heaps of glow worms in the tunnel to which Liam exclaimed 'wow' all the time!.They stopped on a bridge before another tunnel and those that wanted to have a closer look on foot walked up and into the tunnel-Lim and i stayed behind while Reuben went up,but one of the tour guides took Liam, kindly, and showed him some glow worms that were even nearer to our carriage at the foot of the tunnel we'd just been through previously. We also saw Weta's on the way back in the tunnels. All in all a good night and Liam fell asleep in the car on the way back.
Train ride tonight!
Submitted by sarah on Sat, 04/02/2006 - 8:25pmWe are going on a train ride tonight through the Waitakere's to look at the glow worm areas, dinner will be included. Should be good!
I went to the pool at Erin Point a few days ago with Joyce. Liam was able to walk around the edge of one of the pool on a ledge it had in it. He wan't too keen on going home after we got out!-water baby.

wow
Submitted by sarah on Sat, 04/02/2006 - 10:23amLiam is alot more expressive lately. He says 'wow' when he's impressed with something which is usually a digger and today he handed me one of Reuben's train dvd's to watch so maybe he'll be a train boy too-diesel of course.

Submitted by sarah on Tue, 24/01/2006 - 8:43pmThe gallery is now fixed and working, I've put a hacked up module in there so that it works for now until a proper update is released.
But at least now everything works again.
